What a year, guys. 2018 was Drift's first full year in business.

It had its share of up's and down's. I know I post a lot of pretty pictures of Morocco... but the everyday life isn't this glamorous. It's a lot of hard work. Blood, sweat, and tears too. The learning curve of starting a business is real.

Some times you succeed. And other times you fail.  But with each move you make, you learn.
I was so lucky to travel internationally 4 times this year. 2 sourcing trips to Morocco, a bucket list trip to New Zealand, and a somewhat spontaneous trip to Australia.
The world is such a big and beautiful place. Each new area explored offers a new experience and perspective.

One of the biggest leaps outside of my comfort zone was taking my first trip solo to Morocco.
If you know me at all, you know I am not the bravest soul. Sure I'm fairly easy going, but I get scared, paranoid and freaked out. I've always told myself that fear will not stop me from living my life.
In the weeks leading up to the trip I wondered what I was doing. Even as I was boarding the plane I was so nervous.
But that trip changed me, and showed me I was stronger than I ever thought I was.

This year I found out who I could trust as a business owner. Sometimes the hard way.
I found my strengths, and learned that sometimes instead of trying to improve weaknesses, it may be best to learn how to let go.
I've learned that change is a constant.
That things come and go, the world is constantly evolving. Nothing is forever.
So I am going to cherish each and every moment I get to live this dream.

I am so very thankful for each and every one of you.  You have made this possible. And together we have given back so much to the girls in Morocco.
The biggest accomplishment of all of 2018 would be this: we donated $6817.03 to Project Soar! With each sale, we're empowering girls on the other side of the world. My heart is so full it could burst.
So if you're still reading this novel, this is my chance to thank YOU. For your support, love, likes, shares, sales and everything. We are working together to embrace the vintage and handmade and the world a better place - one rug, blanket, or pillow at a time. :)

I wish you all the happiest New Year filled with love, joy, and happiness.

Let's freakin' crush 2019.

xo, Nat
