THIS RUG'S STORY:

Sona is a pretty little Boujad with faded colors and an interesting pattern. I love how the design changes drastically from the top to the bottom of the rug. It's these freeform designs that make these rugs so unique and special!

ABOUT MOROCCAN RUGS:

Each vintage Moroccan rug is hand woven and knotted by Berber women of the tribe specified. This level of craftsmanship can take weeks to complete a single rug. Weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. The patterns, designs, and colors in each rug vary from rug to rug, woman to woman, tribe to tribe – so each piece is truly a unique work of art and 2 pieces will never be the same. Often these rugs have been passed though the families who created them, and have been uncovered from the mountain and rural areas of Morocco.

COLORS/MATERIALS:  Medium pink, light pink, brown, and gray tones. Hand woven wool.

ESTIMATED AGE: Vintage - approximately 40-50 years old

SIZE: 39" x 91" (rug is slightly uneven)

PILE:  Low - worn in spots; thin (rug pad highly recommended - see FAQ's for recommendation)

PLEASE NOTE: Because this is a handmade item, there may be slight imperfections in weaving, pattern, or shape. Please note all vintage items have endured a previous life and so may have slight wear and repairs.
