One of the most asked-for rugs are the runners! Lately I haven't been finding as many unique ones as I used to on sourcing trip, but this is a pretty one I snatched last March during the last sourcing trip. This one has a mix of high and low pile with some areas of wear, but it definitely adds to the character of the piece! She would be the perfect addition to a kitchen or hallway in a casual home.
ABOUT MOROCCAN RUGS:
Each vintage Moroccan rug is hand woven and knotted by Berber women of the tribal region specified. This level of craftsmanship can take up to weeks or months to complete a single rug. Weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. The patterns, designs, and colors in each rug vary with each rug, weaver, and tribe – so each piece is truly a unique work of art and 2 pieces will never be the same. Often these rugs have been handed down through the families who created them, and have been uncovered from the mountain and rural areas of Morocco.
COLORS/MATERIALS: powder pink and pastel tones with higher pile yellow accents and dark brown detailing. Hand knotted wool & cotton.
