Naem

THIS RUG'S STORY:

Meaning "soft" in Arabic, Naem is a beautiful vintage Taznakht rug with silky soft wool. With a blend of light rosey watermelon pink, the signature gold this tribe is known for, light minty green, and brown tones, I haven't seen another rug from this tribe quite like her.  While those make it feel a tad more formal, the colors still bring a fun cheery vibe. She's one of those rugs that could fit into practically any space - modern or traditional. She's a sophisticated rug I hand-selected in the fall of 2019 while traveling in Morocco.

ABOUT MOROCCAN RUGS:

Each vintage Moroccan rug is hand woven and knotted by Berber women of the tribal region specified. This level of craftsmanship can take up to weeks or months to complete a single rug. Weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. The patterns, designs, and colors in each rug vary with each rug, weaver, and tribe – so each piece is truly a unique work of art and 2 pieces will never be the same. Often these rugs have been handed down through the families who created them, and have been uncovered from the mountain and rural areas of Morocco.
