THIS RUG'S STORY:

This pretty vintage Boujad runner would be the perfect addition to a kitchen or hallway in a casual home! This lovely piece has a lot of wear and distress, but adds to the character and individuality of the piece. The pile has been worn down so the colorful pastel colors in the base show through. The blue color tones are more rare and make the piece pop! This one is slightly uneven due to its handmade nature. I hand selected this rug in the Spring of 2020 in Morocco.

ABOUT MOROCCAN RUGS:

Each vintage Moroccan rug is hand woven and knotted by Berber women of the tribal region specified. This level of craftsmanship can take up to weeks or months to complete a single rug. Weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. The patterns, designs, and colors in each rug vary with each rug, weaver, and tribe – so each piece is truly a unique work of art and 2 pieces will never be the same. Often these rugs have been handed down through the families who created them, and have been uncovered from the mountain and rural areas of Morocco.
