THIS RUG'S STORY:
Her intricate tribal pattern and faded hues make it a true showstopper. Boujads can be very asymmetrical at times, and are known for their tribal motifs. This rug is more intricate yet balanced. If you look close, you can see people and a teapot in there. These symbols tell a story about the rugs past and the family who created the piece. So much color and character in one piece, it will surely light up a room!
ABOUT MOROCCAN RUGS:
Each vintage Moroccan rug is hand woven and knotted by Berber women of the tribal region specified. This level of craftsmanship can take up to weeks or months to complete a single rug. Weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. The patterns, designs, and colors vary with each rug, weaver, and tribe – so each piece is truly a unique work of art and 2 pieces will never be the same. Often these rugs have been handed down through the families who created them, and have been uncovered from the mountain and rural areas of Morocco.
