Autumn Haze

THIS RUG'S STORY:

Autumn Haze is a work of art from the Beni M'Guild tribe. This vintage beauty features a soft abstract looking diamond pattern with hints of red, orange, black and even some mint green. The Beni M'Guild tribe originates from the Middle Atlas Mountain region in Morocco. These rugs typically feature higher dense pile and intricate symmetrical pattern that is characteristic of this mountain tribe. These rugs were used often used as blankets or too sleep on, and to provide warmth during the harsh winters.

Beni M'Guilds are wonderful because they are reversible - as you'll see from the pictures, the back side of the rug is very striking too! I hand selected this rug in Morocco back in the spring of 2019, and it is truly a one of a kind piece to be treasured for many more generations!

ABOUT MOROCCAN RUGS:

Each vintage Moroccan rug is hand woven and knotted by Berber women of the tribal region specified. This level of craftsmanship can take up to weeks or months to complete a single rug. Weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. The patterns, designs, and colors in each rug vary with each rug, weaver, and tribe – so each piece is truly a unique work of art and 2 pieces will never be the same. Often these rugs have been handed down through the families who created them, and have been uncovered from the mountain and rural areas of Morocco.
